Blake Comeau will miss the last two games of this season due to a broken right foot he sustained in Tuesday night's shootout win over the Montreal Canadiens.
Comeau only played a couple of minutes in the first period, in which he scored a goal, but left a few minutes later with a noticeable limp.
It was first reported that it was a day-to-day injury, but I saw Blake today at the Professional Athletic Performance Center this morning when I went in to train, and he told me that his foot was broken and he would be out for about three to four weeks.
When I asked him how he broke it, he said "[the puck] just hit me in the right spot. It hit me when I went to block a shot."
Speedy recovery Blake, you had an outstanding season and hopefully you can build off it next year.
